Featuring replaceable K10 carbide cutting tips with an extremely high hardness of 92HRC, these tools last up to 50 times longer than High Speed Steel (HSS) and entirely remove the need to re-sharpen your edges. Simply present the razor-sharp tips to the timber at 90 degrees and cut with a scraping action—a much simpler skill to learn when compared to using a traditional bowl gouge.
With a generous overall length of 470mm, these tools offer plenty of control for larger projects and are suitable for all kinds of spindle and bowl turning. Each tool is built with a 320mm long Ash handle, a distinctive stainless steel ferrule, and a square shaft that is chrome finished and laser etched. The 10mm x 10mm square steel shaft sits comfortably on the tool rest and provides enough strength to eliminate vibration from the cutting tip. When a cutting edge eventually dulls, you can simply rotate the tip so a new cutting face is used, or replace it with a new one once all faces are exhausted. Supplied in a foam lined storage box complete with a T15 Torx key, this set is built for a long lifetime in the workshop.
