Chestnut Products Tung Oil - 500Ml

When your next woodworking project demands a tough, dependable seal without the chemicals, reach for Chestnut Products Tung Oil. Sourced straight from the seed of the nut of the tung tree—and also known as Chinese Wood Oil—this 100% natural, solvent and additive free finish delivers a hard-wearing, resilient surface that stands up to regular use. While it is worth noting that the jury is out as to whether it can spark a nut allergy, tradespeople and DIYers alike rely on this traditional oil for its robust performance on timber.

Because it contains no added solvents or driers, it air dries naturally to form a strong amber-tinted film. Drying times typically range around 48 hours depending on conditions, though it can take up to a week, with thinner coats drying much quicker. Simply apply it using a brush or cloth for a reliable, classic finish on your woodwork, though you should avoid using it around sinks and similar wet areas.
