Stop crawling insects and winter moth caterpillars from ruining your fruit and ornamental trees with Vitax Tree Bands, available now at Wigley DIY. Designed for straightforward seasonal protection, these non-hazardous bands use a non-drying adhesive to trap pests before they can lay eggs, feed on foliage, or damage flowers and young fruit. Ideal for organic gardening, this pack contains one, four metre length that is sufficient to protect 10-12 average-sized fruit trees.
For best results, apply the bands in early autumn and keep in place until early spring, then re-apply from May to September to tackle earwigs and ants. Simply secure them well above the ground on the smoothest part of the trunk, ensuring the surface is clean and free from loose bark or moss. You can also use them around supporting tree posts to stop pests in their tracks.
