When you need a professional-grade finish that quietly conceals uneven plaster and minor wall flaws, Wigley DIY recommends Armstead Trade Vinyl Matt Emulsion in White 5L. This water-based trade paint delivers reliable, good opacity across all normal interior wall and ceiling surfaces, making it a go-to choice for both seasoned tradespeople and weekend DIYers tackling room makeovers. Whether you are refreshing a living room or coating a fresh ceiling, it goes on smoothly and covers up to 14m²/l on smooth surfaces of average porosity.
Proper prep ensures a top-notch result. On very absorbent surfaces, apply a sealing coat of thinned Armstead Trade Vinyl Matt using up to 1 part clean water to 10 parts paint. Stir thoroughly before use, then follow up with the normal finishing process of 1 or 2 full coats. You will be back on the tools quickly with a touch dry time of 1-2 hours and a recoat time of 2-4 hours, though drying times remain dependent upon temperature and humidity.
