Dulux Trade Quick Dry Wood Primer Undercoat in 1L is a water-based, high opacity, dual purpose primer undercoat built for interior and exterior woodwork. Whether you are tackling softwoods, hardwoods, chipboard, or fibre board (except fire retardant-treated types), this 2-in-1 formula provides excellent adhesion and is recoatable in 2-4 hours so you can crack on with the job. It also works as a reliable undercoat for surfaces previously primed or painted with solvent- or water-based paint.
Before you start, stir thoroughly before use and treat any knots with an appropriate knotting solution. Apply by brush, roller, or spray. For new or bare surfaces, use 2 coats, allowing a minimum of 2 hours drying time between coats. For previously painted surfaces, 1 coat is needed before finishing with an appropriate Dulux Trade paint system.
