When you are prepping bare exterior timber for a job that needs to last, you want a primer that actually gets deep into the grain rather than just sitting on the surface. Dulux Trade Weathershield Preservative Primer + (BP) is formulated to penetrate and seal new bare wood, giving tradespeople and DIYers the essential first defence against moisture and rot. Whether you are tackling fencing, doors, or window frames, this water-based treatment stops water damage in its tracks while actively defending against decay and blue stain fungi.
Get this stage right, and you unlock long-term peace of mind. When used as part of the full Weathershield exterior paint system, it delivers an impressive 8 year weathering durability. That means fewer callbacks for trade professionals and a rock-solid finish for homeowners who want their exterior woodwork protected against the elements year after year.
