Stop juggling different tins for every odd job around the property. Wigley DIY stocks Dulux Weathershield Multisurface Quick Dry Satin in Black 750ml, a water-based finish engineered specifically for exterior wood, metal and uPVC. Whether you are tackling front doors, window frames or guttering, this multi-surface paint guarantees 6 year weather protection to keep your paintwork looking better for longer compared to conventional Dulux paints.
You get a flexible film designed to prevent cracking, alongside mould resistance to minimise unsightly staining. It is quick drying and straightforward to apply once you have prepped the substrate. Just ensure surfaces are clean and dry, treat mould, algae or fungi with a fungicidal wash, and sand down to remove any sheen. For metal, remove rust using Hammerite Rust Remover and leave new galvanized surfaces to weather for six months. Prime bare wood with Weathershield Exterior Preservative Primer+ (BP) and repair defects with Polycell. Apply in dry conditions above 10°C.
