When you need to get exterior timber and metal looking sharp without wasting half the day waiting around, Wigley DIY recommends Dulux Weathershield Quick Dry Exterior Satin in Pure Brilliant White. This quick-drying, subtle sheen finish is built to handle the elements, offering a flexible paint film that resists cracking and mould to minimise staining. Backed by a 10 year weather protection guarantee when surfaces are in good condition before application, it keeps paintwork looking better for longer compared to conventional Dulux gloss paints.
For the best results, apply 1 or 2 coats with a brush. Only use light colours on south facing resinous wood, and make sure to apply only in dry conditions, above 10°C and when bad weather is not forecast. Leave 6 hours to dry, and remember that newly painted doors and windows should not be closed until paint is fully dry.
