Dylon Fabric Hand Dye - Tulip Red - 50g

When you need to refresh uniforms, soft furnishings, or specialist textiles on the job, Dylon Fabric Hand Dye in Tulip Red delivers reliable, long-lasting results. This 50g hand-use dye is specially formulated for smaller items like shorts, vests, or socks, and handles delicate fabrics such as wool and silk that cannot go into a standard washing machine. To get the job done right, you will need 250g of ordinary salt on hand. The process is straightforward: weigh dry fabric, wash thoroughly, and leave damp. Put on rubber gloves, dissolve the dye in 500ml warm water, and fill a bowl or stainless steel sink with approximately 6 litres of warm water at 40°C. Stir in 250g or 10tbsp of salt, add the dye, and stir well before submerging the fabric. Stir continuously for 15mins, then stir regularly for 45mins. Finally, rinse the fabric in cold water, wash in warm water, and dry away from direct heat and sunlight.
